Symptoms: Nausea/ Vomiting/ upset stomach are most common in toxic amounts alcohol can make patient unresponsive and slow/stop their breathing.

What to do: If patient has no symptoms give small snack and fluids and call poison center with bottle information for more specific recommendations. Immediately contact the poison center if any symptoms are present.

Symptoms: Risk for redness/irritation and in severe cases, ocular injury.

What to do: rinse eye for 5 minutes, rest eye for 1 hour away from bright lights, medicated drops, and additional rinsing. Call the poison center if any symptoms after resting.

Symptoms Risk for throat/respiratory irritation and pain with exposure to strong alcohol

What to do: May be helpful to inhale steam (warm shower, etc) or get fresh air outside to help with symptoms.
